Working Groups
To ensure positive momentum, it is suggested that the IWSN prioritizes focus areas, develop, and implement action plans through working groups. Each working group would be led by a Steering Committee Member, who will engage IWSN Members for specific inputs and develop annual work plans. A set of three ‘Working Groups’ has been suggested below based on preliminary feedback from Stakeholders, linked to the key barriers to the uptake of Water Stewardship in India:
This working group will focus on corporate actions and leverage the commitments from sector leaders to scale-up the impacts. Food & Beverages and Textile sector will be the priority sectors to start with. The working group will evolve to include other sectors in the future.
This working group will focus on creating an enabling environment for pre-competitive collaborations among relevant stakeholders at the catchment level.
This working group will focus on developing value proposition for linkages and engage with relevant policy makers both at the central and the state levels.
